Overview

Cutback is a surf session app from Holylabs Ltd. This policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information, such as your email address, display name, and sign-in provider when you create or access an account.
• Surf profile information you enter, such as surfer name, stance, home beach or spot, board details, and optional profile photo.
• Session data generated by your Cutback sensor and app use, such as logs, metadata, timestamps, and exported files.
• Device connection information needed to find and connect to nearby Bluetooth sensors.
• Approximate location or spot information when you choose to add it to a surf profile or session.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide sign-in, save your profile, connect to your sensor, record and organize surf sessions, support exports, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.

Firebase and Sign-In Providers

Cutback uses Firebase Authentication to support email/password sign-in, password reset, Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, account deletion, and account management. Google, Apple, and Firebase may process information according to their own policies when you use those services.

Permissions

Cutback may request Bluetooth permissions to connect to your sensor, photo library permissions if you choose a profile image, and location-related permissions where required for nearby device discovery or for adding spot context. You can change permissions in your device settings.

Storage and Sharing

Some session files may be stored locally on your device. If you export or share a session file, you choose where it goes. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete your account from inside the app. Account deletion removes your Firebase Authentication account. Local files on your device may need to be removed separately from the app or device storage.

Children

Cutback is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
